Lets complete the set by looking at Short Term planning or what I call Personal Planning.
Medium Term planning – lets make a start on this area of the planning system.
The technological age arrived in the Primary classroom with the introduction of the “class screen” which was going to revolutionise teaching and bring everything into the 21st Century and beyond (sound like Buzz Lightyear!)
So how has this progressed and what have been the results – well in my opinion ….mixed and here’s why.
Lets have a quick recap as to where we are with this.
Having set our expectations high for the work in the classroom and also implemented the sanctions that apply for work that is done incorrectly or to a poor standard – we are now going to extend this towards behaviour in the classroom.
Just as an added extra I thought I would give you my impressions about materials to use in Art lessons that make life a little easier.
Welcome back to the flip side of the 2 part blog “Be ready” – we’ve already had a look at P.E lessons and if you haven’t looked at that then I recommend you hop there after this.
When tutors come to watch students in the classroom, 2 of the lessons they want to see are Art and P.E – why?
Well there’s an easy answer to that – its because art and p.e are the 2 lessons that require the most organisation and also they are the one’s that can go wrong if you do not plan and execute them properly…and yes they are right !
Having read the 1st part of this topic you will have got some idea of where we are going with this.
Its all about the children knowing EXACTLY what is expected of them, both in behaviour and for the purposes of this topic in producing work.
Its a question that crops up many many times from teachers – so if it’s troubling you then you are not the only one!
The problem is not so much as getting work done, as it is in getting QUALITY work done and ENOUGH WORK done!
